What is Angle Measurement Using Transit Survey about?
The objectives of the fieldwork were to measure angles using a transit and determine distances with a tape measure between three points (A, B, C). Angles were measured as azimuths and bearings. Distances and angles were recorded as the transit was moved between the points. Some errors were observed, such as a faulty compass. Computations were done to determine the azimuths and bearings between the lines. The fieldwork allowed the students to practice using a transit to measure angles.
