About this document
Chimpanzee Insights and Research Findings by Jaison George is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Chimpanzees are apes that are 94% genetically similar to humans. They have longer arms than legs, walk on their knuckles, and mature around 12-16 years old. Chimpanzees live in groups, eat over 300 plant species per year including hunting, and communicate through cries, barks, gestures and expressions. Research has shown they have excellent memory and were able to remember things they were taught. Chimpanzees are now endangered and were previously used for biomedical research, with at least 5-10 chimpanzees
