This study evaluates the accuracy of intraocular lens (IOL) power prediction methods after LASIK or PRK using the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery calculator. Results indicate that methods relying on surgically induced change in refraction or no prior data yield better prediction accuracy compared to those using pre-LASIK/PRK keratometry values. The findings suggest that these alternative methods can significantly reduce prediction errors in IOL power calculations.
