What is Domain-Oriented Masked Instruction Set Architecture For RISC-V about?

The document discusses the development of a Domain-Oriented Masked Instruction Set Architecture (DOM ISA) for RISC-V aimed at enhancing security against side-channel attacks. It highlights the vulnerabilities in the traditional separation of ISA and implementation, proposing that secure implementations require additional constraints to prevent side-channel leakage. The authors present a hybrid approach that incorporates DOM techniques to create a secure instruction set while maintaining performance efficien
