Excavations over a period of 16 years of the settlement to the east of the modern town of Baldock have revealed a fascinating picture of life in ancient Britain. Work has proved to be of international significance, adding much to the understanding of the development of early British culture. North Hertfordshire District Council is proud to have sponsored the whole project - a vital necessity before planned development of modern housing.
