Students will construct solar cookers out of oatmeal boxes and use them to cook hot dogs in order to learn about how solar energy can be used as an alternative to electricity. They will also make sun tea by steeping tea bags in a glass jar in the sunlight. The objectives are for students to build a solar cooker and understand that scientific knowledge can change with new evidence.
