This study investigates the growth and yield response of inbred rice varieties to varying levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG) application. Results indicate that while MSG application improved vegetative performance, particularly at 5.0 g MSG L⁻¹, it did not significantly affect most growth traits, although yield parameters showed significant interaction effects. Economic analysis revealed that NSIC Rc 222 provided the highest net income, suggesting MSG can enhance profitability in rice production.
