The MOFs, fabricated using Zr4+, Fe3+, and Al3+ ions, demonstrated high defluoridation capacities and were optimized for various adsorption conditions. The synthesized MOFs showed potential for reuse and successfully reduced fluoride levels in field trials to meet safety standards.
