About this document
Angle of Lap Experiment Results by Tanya Deeb is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document describes an experiment to determine the relationship between the efficiency of a pulley system and the angle of lap. The experiment measured the effort required to move various loads through a pulley at angles of lap of 90, 180, 270, and 360 degrees. The results showed that the effort needed increased as the angle of lap increased, with ratio of effort to load being lowest at 90 degrees and highest at 360 degrees. This indicates that pulley efficiency decreases as the angle of lap increases.
