This research article investigates the performance of photodiodes with varying active areas and cuvette materials (acrylic vs. quartz) for noninvasive glucose measurement in water and human blood plasma using near-infrared spectrophotometry. The findings indicate that larger active areas and quartz cuvettes yield higher sensitivity in glucose detection, achieving an R2 of 0.99 and a sensitivity of 0.225 mV/1 mg/dl. The study concludes that the proposed optical system is feasible for accurate plasma glucose
