About this document
Glucose and Starch Diffusion Results by Cess Abad Agcong is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This experiment tested the diffusion of sugar and starch across dialysis tubing and a plastic bag. Sugar diffused across the dialysis tubing but not the plastic bag, while starch did not diffuse at all. An artificial cell gained weight over an hour due to osmosis, with water diffusing into the cell because of a hypotonic solution inside the cell. Glucose could diffuse through the dialysis tubing because it is small, while starch could not due to its larger size as a complex carbohydrate made of bonded sugar
