What is Fort Worth Launches Affordable Rideshare about?

The City of Fort Worth launched a new on-demand rideshare program called Ride Fort Worth in partnership with Via to provide affordable transportation across the city for a flat $3 per trip fee, with the goal of increasing transit options; the initial $1 million pilot program will offer service in high-traffic areas and may expand citywide if successful. Mayor Mattie Parker stated this program provides residents and visitors with a cost-effective way to get around Fort Worth.
