About this document
Enrichment Planting in Tropical Fragments by Italo Favoreto Campanharo is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the effectiveness of enrichment planting to enhance habitat quality in fragmented tropical rainforests, specifically on Borneo. Seedlings of three dipterocarp species were planted in various forest fragments, showing high survival rates comparable to continuous forest, while growth and herbivory rates were higher in fragments due to increased light. The findings suggest that enrichment planting could be a viable strategy for improving the conservation value of degraded forest fragmen
