The Evangelical Church of the Dominican Republic is one of the largest Protestant denominations in the Dominican Republic with approximately 10,000 members. It was founded in 1922 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, United Brethren, and Presbyterian Church. Originally started by British and American missionaries in the 1880s, it has grown to over 55 congregations and is now the second largest Protestant church in the country.
