This study evaluated the performance of 11 commercial rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) for detecting Trypanosoma cruzi antibodies in serum samples from areas of both endemicity and nonendemicity. Out of the 11 RDTs tested, 8 were found to be useful, with the cassette format preferred, although overall performance was lower than manufacturer claims.
