Can I read Electrical Transport in a Microdevice Chain on EtoBox?
Electrical Transport in a Microdevice Chain by J. Sinkkonen; S. Eränen is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Electrical Transport in a Microdevice Chain about?
A simple transport theory of a one-dimensional chain of small devxes 1s presented. The chain is comprised of potential barriers connected by short conductors. Electrical transport through the barriers is described in terms of the quantum reflection and transmission coefficients. The conductors, which are longer than the de Brcqlie wavelength but eventually shorter than the mean tree path, are discussed within the Boltzmann transport theory. By fitting the sol'&lons of the Boltzmann equation with the boundary conditions imposed by reflection and transmission at barriers a complete solution for the chain can be obtaned. As an application, the two-barrier structure 1s studled in detall. As a function of the conductor length the current shows Interference type resonances associated with scattering damped multiple reflections. The properties of the ballistic transistor are deter-mine3 from the model. from Fig. 3 that this requires L < 0,l 1 1.e. a good amplifier transistor should have a very short base.
