The t-J model of the cuprates is formulated in a novel fashion in terms of a single spin and charge particles along with flux tubes. The theory has been developed [1,2] to simulate ARPES spectra and this earlier formulation is here applied to compare the k 1⁄4 fp; 0g spectra for mono-, bi-and tri-layer Bi cuprates.
