What is Comprehensive Mathematics Practice, Book 1 about?

This series of six books is intended for the majority of pupils in the first years of secondary schooling. It provides a firm foundation in the mathematics needed at this level from which the pupils can proceed with confidence on a course to C.S.E. or G .C.E. '0' Level. The books can be used either as a complete course or as a suppleme;nt to existing textbooks. The material is arranged in sequential order. Each section includes brief teaching notes and worked examples followed by ample practice which is carefully graded. This ensures that most children gain the satisfaction of success as well as the experience of sufficient practice. Wherever possible, emphasis is laid on practical or topical aspects of the subject. The numerical answers to the questions in all six books are provided in one separate book.
