This document summarizes a study on the readiness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Blora Regency, Indonesia to implement the new Small and Medium Entity Financial Accounting Standards (SAK EMKM). The study found that two SMEs in Blora Regency were not ready to apply SAK EMKM. Interviews and documentation revealed that the SMEs had not prepared financial statements. SAK EMKM is intended to help SMEs prepare financial statements in a simpler way than previous standards. The new standards took effect
