Torre Mayor: Seismic Design Insights by shreya sahnan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The Torre Mayor in Mexico City is a 225m tall skyscraper designed to withstand earthquakes in a high seismic risk zone. It uses 98 fluid viscous dampers, including 24 large dampers rated at 570 tonnes and 74 smaller dampers rated at 280 tonnes. The dampers are installed in "mega brace" elements up to 20m long spanning multiple floors to dissipate seismic energy. The dampers and foundation design, involving caissons and a concrete mat, allow the Torre Mayor to remain structurally undamaged even when subjecte
