An investigation was conducted into reports of acute illness among patrons at a restaurant in Dallas County, Texas in 2010. Five patrons developed similar symptoms including dizziness and fainting within minutes of consuming food or drink from the restaurant. A case-control study identified iced tea as the likely contaminated food, with an odds ratio of 65.
