## Abstract Während N‐Methyl‐ und N‐Phenyl‐phthalamidin (Ia), (Ib) miLLithiumalanat zu den Isoindolen (IIa), (IIb) reduziert werden, wird aus dem Benzylderivat (Ic) mit Lithiumalanat (IIIc) und nur mit Natrium‐bis‐(2‐methoxyäthoxy)‐ aluminiumhydrid (IIc) erhalten.
