Species of the spider family Leptonetidae Simon, 1890 from China are revised based on molecular and morphological data analyses. A new genus, __Jingneta__ Wang & Li **gen. nov**., is erected, with __Leptoneta cornea__ Tong & Li, 2008 as the type species. Twenty-two Chinese species previously assigned to the genus __Leptoneta__ Simon, 1872 are revised, with eight transferred to __Falcileptoneta__ Komatsu, 1970, seven transferred to __Jingneta__ **gen. nov**., five transferred to __Leptonetela__ Kratochvíl, 1978, and one species each transferred to __Longileptoneta__ Seo, 2015 and __Masirana__ Kishida, 1942. Eight new species are described: i.e., __Falcileptoneta shuanglong__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂), __Jingneta caoxian__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀), __J. jingdong__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀), __Longileptoneta gutan__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀), __L. huangshan__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀), __L. shenxian__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀), __L. yeren__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂), and __L. zhuxian__ Wang & Li **sp. nov**. (♂♀).
