What is Writing Practice: Course Withdrawal & Reading Debate about?

A writing practice document contains details of two writing tasks. The first task involves writing a letter to a course lecturer to explain that the person cannot continue an evening course due to their full-time employment. The letter needs to describe the situation and say what the person will be doing instead. The second task involves writing an essay discussing whether people who read books can develop more imagination and language skills than those who prefer to watch TV.
