About this document
Anatomy and Physiology of the Heart by Gaoudam Natarajan is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The heart is a muscular pump made of four chambers. It has its own pacemaker cells that generate electrical signals to contract the heart muscles in a synchronized way. These electrical signals can be detected on the skin surface using electrocardiography (ECG) leads. An ECG trace shows the P wave from atrial depolarization, the QRS complex from ventricular depolarization, and the T wave from ventricular repolarization. The timing and amplitudes of the waves provide information about the heart
