This study assesses food hygiene perceptions and safety practices among 130 street food vendors in South Delhi. While a significant majority (97.7%) of vendors recognized the importance of food hygiene, only 16.2% practiced safe handling by wearing gloves, and none had received formal food safety training. The findings highlight a gap between awareness and practice, indicating a need for better training and resources to improve food safety among street vendors.
