What is WiMAX Path Loss Model Comparison about?

This document compares path loss models for WiMAX signals in suburban and open urban environments in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Field tests were conducted to measure received signal strength at distances up to 1 km from a WiMAX base station. The measured path loss was then compared to predicted path loss from the COST-231 Hata, Stanford University Interim (SUI), and Egli models. The results found that the COST-231 Hata model provided the best prediction of path loss in both the suburban and open urban environment
