What is The Cactus and the Flowers about?

This story is about a cactus that is ridiculed by other flowers in a garden for not having flowers and being ugly. When summer arrives and it gets hot, the other flowers dry up because they cannot store water like the cactus. The cactus shares its water with the other flowers despite how they treated him. From then on, they become friends and celebrate when the cactus produces its first yellow flower.
