What is East Pakistan Central Peace Committee 1971 about?

The East Pakistan Central Peace Committee was formed in 1971 by the Pakistan Army to help crush the rebellion for Bangladeshi independence. Led by Nurul Amin of the Pakistan Democratic Party, the Peace Committee recruited over 100 members, including many from Jamaat-e-Islami, to oppose the Mukti Bahini liberation forces. The Peace Committee spread across East Pakistan and engaged in targeted killings and violence against pro-independence supporters.
