This paper demonstrates that Neumaier graphs cannot have a coherent rank of 4 or 5 and introduces a new infinite family of Neumaier graphs with conjecturally infinitely many members having a coherent rank of 6. The authors also provide examples that affirmatively answer a question regarding the existence of Neumaier graphs whose nexus is not a power of 2.
