What is Piroxicam Gel Stability with HPMC & Acupec about?

This study investigated the stability of piroxicam gel formulations using different bases. Various gel formulas were prepared using HPMC at concentrations of 1.5-2.5% or Aqupec HV-505 at 0.5-1.5% as the base. The stability of the gels was evaluated over 28 days based on organoleptic properties, pH, viscosity and drug content. The best formula was 1% Aqupec HV-505 base (FC2). Further studies on this formula involved varying the piroxicam concentration and evaluating stability over 56 days through microbiolog
