What is Gyandoot: Empowering Rural Madhya Pradesh about?

Gyandoot is a government-to-citizen intranet project in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh that provides information kiosks in rural villages. It allows villagers to access government services and file complaints online. Over 6,000 complaints were filed in the first year, increasing accountability. It also provides crop prices to empower farmers. While initially successful, later evaluations found declining activity, questioning its long-term viability.
