What is Analyzing "The Poison Tree" Poem about?

The poem describes how expressing anger towards a friend ends the wrath, but keeping anger inside towards a foe instead allows it to grow stronger. The speaker waters and nurtures the growing wrath in secret until it bears poisonous fruit. When the foe sees the fruit and eats it, the wrath is finally satisfied with the foe dead beneath the tree.
