What is Understanding Jesus about?

Jesus was fully human. The Bible provides evidence that he was born of a woman, obeyed his parents, had a job as a carpenter, ate and drank, became hungry and tired, slept, cried, and was tempted. Jesus became human for several key reasons: to save humanity from sin by reconciling us with God, to be a model of holiness, and to allow humanity to become divine through communion with him. Jesus is truly God and truly human.
