What is Kant about?

1) Kant seeks to establish a pure principle of morality independent of inclinations and particular motivations. 2) The will is the faculty of choosing only what reason recognizes as necessary and good, regardless of inclination. 3) Categorical imperatives propose actions as good and necessary in themselves, unlike hypothetical imperatives that present actions as means to ends.
