This study examined the effects of continuous exposure to DDT on ATPase enzyme activity in fathead minnows. Fish were exposed to DDT through water and food over 266 days. The researchers found that mitochondrial Mg2+ ATPase activity in brain tissue was most strongly inhibited by DDT exposure, with over 50% reduction after 266 days.
