What is Hubble about?

The document summarizes the use of a technique called "lucky imaging" to capture high-resolution infrared images of Jupiter using the Gemini North Telescope. Lucky imaging involves taking many short-exposure images and selecting the sharpest parts to combine into a single image with higher resolution than a single long-exposure image. The resulting images of Jupiter reveal storm systems, lightning strikes, and gaps in cloud cover with greater detail than previously seen from ground-based telescopes.
