This study evaluates the production of bacterial cellulose (BCel) using a semi-continuous method in a rotating disk bioreactor with plastic composite support (PCS), achieving a productivity of approximately 0.24 g/L/day over five consecutive runs. The BCel produced exhibited lower crystallinity and mechanical properties compared to that from static culture, but similar water content and thermostability.
