Can I read Editorial on EtoBox?

Editorial by van Dongen, Vincent is a Computer Science article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Editorial about?

High Performance Computing is the key to solving today's most challenging computational problems, such as advanced numerical simulations, large-scale CFD, 3D animation, network optimization, complex drug design, genome analysis, massive data handling, etc. These applications require enormous computational power, massive memories, fast communication media and highly efficient synchronization mechanisms. At the same time, the ever increasing complex hardware must be made usable through advanced software, including sophisticated but easy to use compilers and performance visualization tools. This special issue of Concurrency: Practice and Experience is gathering the best papers presented at HPCS'95, the High Performance Computing Symposium that was held in Montreal in July 1995. This conference was organized by CRIM, the Computer Research Institute of Montreal, under the sponsorship of Super\*Can, the Canadian association for high performance computing and communication. Also, IEEE Montreal helped us to make our event the greatest success. HPCS'95 is the continuation of previously held Supercomputing Symposia that have taken place annually in Canada since 1987. The year before HPCS'95,
