No improvement: case report A 62-year-old patient [sex not stated] showed no improvement during treatment with hyaluronidase and unspecified antibacterials for inflammatory swelling [dosages not stated; not all routes stated].The patient, who had undergone injection of a hyaluronic acid filler in the zygomatic/zygomatic arch and jaw angle areas, developed an inflammatory swelling over the left zygomatic arch, was successfully treated with unspecified antibacterials [antibiotics]. Shortly thereafter, the patient developed a similar finding on the left corner of the jaw, which had improved after incision, drainage and several days of irrigation with an unspecified antiseptic. After the inflammation had subsided, the patient developed renewed inflammatory swelling in the area of the right angle of the jaw, which did not improve despite surgical drainage with oral antibacterials and hyaluronidase injections.Three months after initial filler injection, the patient presented to a clinic with a hardened, tender swelling in the area of the right jaw angle.
