What is IIEF-5 Questionnaire in ED Prevalence Study about?

The study aimed to determine the prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in a non-selected population using the 5-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire. 965 men aged 40-90 who underwent a free prostate cancer screening were administered the IIEF-5. The prevalence of ED was found to be 53.9%, with mild ED in 21.5%, mild-moderate in 14.1%, moderate in 6.3%, and severe in 11.9%. ED prevalence increased with age, from 36.4% in men aged 40-49 to 100% in men over 80.
