What is Sealdah Station Overview and Operations about?

Sealdah station is one of the major and busiest railway stations in Kolkata, India. It has three terminals - Sealdah North, Sealdah Main, and Sealdah South. Sealdah North and Main handle suburban trains to various destinations in northern and northwestern parts of West Bengal. Sealdah South serves local trains to southern destinations. The station started operations in 1869 and was also formerly connected to a tram terminus until 1978 when construction of a flyover required demolition of tracks.
