About this document

The Resilient Journey of Victor Bailey by Wesley Rubim is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Victor Bailey had a successful career as an electric bassist, playing with Weather Report from 1982 to 1986 and recording with many other jazz and pop artists. However, he now resides in an assisted living facility due to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a hereditary muscular dystrophy that has caused the muscles in his arms and legs to atrophy. Though he can no longer play bass, he maintains an upbeat spirit and hopes to resume teaching at Berklee College of Music.
