Can I read Preparation of Thermosensitive Magnetic Particles by Dispersion Polymerization on EtoBox?

Preparation of Thermosensitive Magnetic Particles by Dispersion Polymerization by Xiao Bin Ding; Zong Hua Sun; Guo Xiang Wan; Ying Yan Jiang is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Preparation of Thermosensitive Magnetic Particles by Dispersion Polymerization about?

A new kind of thermosensitive magnetic particles with core / shell structure was prepared by copolymerization of styrene (St) and N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) in the presence of Fe O magnetic fluid in ethanol / water medium. The particles 3 4 shrank above the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of Fe O / P(St-NIPAM) and swelled below the LCST in water. 3 4 The effect of polymerization parameters such as initiator concentration and NIPAM / St ratio on particles was investigated. Higher initiator concentration formed larger Fe O / P(St-NIPAM) particles, and the particles size decreased as the 3 4 NIPAM / St ratio increased.
