What is Horizontal Motion Definitions and Variability about?
This study provides ratios of median values and standard deviations for different definitions of the horizontal component of ground motion. These ratios allow appropriate adjustments when combining ground motion prediction equations that use different horizontal component definitions in seismic hazard analyses.
