What is KP Ehtesab Commission Act Amendments about?

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet approved amendments to the KP Ehtesab Commission Act 2014, which will be implemented retroactively from January 2004. The amendments stipulate that only high courts and the Supreme Court can grant bail to those in Ehtesab Commission custody. Courts also cannot reduce penalties given by the Commission and must decide cases within 3 months, hearing them daily. The Commission can also declare places as temporary police stations or sub-jails in emergencies.
