This study evaluated the effects of culture medium composition and pH on exopolysaccharide (EPS) production by Pleurotus sajor-caju and tested the antitumor activity of the EPS and intracellular polysaccharides (IPS) against Sarcoma 180 cells. A medium containing specific concentrations of ammonium sulfate, yeast extract, and soy peptone produced the highest EPS concentration.
