About this document

Hormones and Muscle Growth Study by nickwshea is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates whether resistance exercise-induced elevations in anabolic hormones enhance muscle strength and hypertrophy. Twelve healthy young men trained their elbow flexors under two conditions: low hormone (LH) and high hormone (HH), with no significant differences in muscle hypertrophy or strength gains observed between the two conditions. The findings suggest that acute increases in endogenous anabolic hormones do not enhance muscle adaptations from resistance training in young men.
