Supported organometallic complexes Part 31: diaminediphosphineruthenium(II) precursor complexes for parallel synthesis in interphases by Ekkehard Lindner; Samer Al-Gharabli; Hermann A. Mayer is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Supported organometallic complexes Part 31: diaminediphosphineruthenium(II) precursor complexes for parallel synthesis in interphases about?

The hemilabile, triethoxysilyl functionalized ether Á/phosphine ligand 4(T o ) was obtained by reaction of PhP(H)CH 2 CH 2 OCH 3 (2) with 4-fluorobenzylamine in 1,1?-dimethoxyethane in the presence of potassium and subsequent treatment of the resulting coupling product 3 with (EtO) 3 Si(CH 2 ) 3 NCO in dichloromethane. The modified ligand 4(T o ) was used in the synthesis of a matrix of T-silyl functionalized ruthenium(II) complexes Cl 2 Ru(PÂ/O) 2 (diamine) [6a(T o ) Á/6g(T o )] by addition of a series of aliphatic and aromatic diamines a Á/g to the bis(chelated) precursor complex Cl 2 Ru(PÂ/O) 2 [5(T o )]. The corresponding monocationic ruthenium(II) complexes [ClRu(PS/O)(PÂ/O)(diamine)][BF 4 ] [7a(T o ) Á/7g(T o )] were available by chloride abstraction from 6a(T o ) to 6g(T o ) with AgBF 4 or TlPF 6 in dichloromethane. Only in the case of 6a(T o ) it was possible to partially abstract both chlorides to give the dicationic complex [Ru(P S/O) 2 (diamine)] [PF 6 ] 2 [8a(T o )] in low yields. Complexes 6a(T o ) Á/6g(T o ) and 7a(T o ) Á/7g(T o ) can be regarded as valuable precursors for sol Á/gel processing to carry out parallel synthesis in interphases in the field of catalysis.
