What is Understanding Dettol about?
Dettol Antiseptic Liquid Disinfectant is a household cleaning product made by Reckitt Benckiser containing chloroxylenol as its main active ingredient. It is a light yellow liquid that turns milky white when diluted with water. Diluted Dettol can be used to clean cuts, treat acne in small amounts, and remedy boils, but should not be ingested or come into contact with eyes, mouth, or nose as it is poisonous. A man died from Dettol overexposure in 2007.
